Shipping & Fulfillment
Version 1.0-draft · Effective August 12, 2026
When you choose to ship a pair from your Vault, we dispatch it within 2 business days and it typically arrives in 3–7 business days. Shipping is a flat $9.95 per shipment — and free when you bundle 2 or more pairs into one shipment. This policy explains where we ship, what it costs, and exactly what happens if something goes wrong in transit.
1. Where we ship
SneakBox ships to physical street addresses in the United States only. We do not ship internationally, to freight forwarders for onward international delivery, or to US territories at this time. PO Boxes are accepted for shipments that do not require a delivery signature; shipments with insurance (see Section 6) require a street address.
Because purchases on SneakBox are limited to eligible states, shipping is available to all 50 states except Washington and Idaho, which are excluded from the service entirely. For the full eligibility rules — including age verification and what happens if you move — see our Age & State Eligibility policy.
2. Carriers
We ship via major national carriers (such as UPS, USPS, and FedEx), selected per shipment based on destination, declared value, and service level. We choose the carrier; you cannot request a specific carrier. Every shipment includes tracking, and the tracking number appears in the app and in your shipment-confirmation email as soon as the label is created.
3. Dispatch and delivery timelines
Shipping starts when you submit a ship request for one or more revealed pairs in your Vault. From that point:
- Dispatch: we hand your shipment to the carrier within 2 business days of your ship request.
- Delivery: standard delivery takes 3–7 business days from dispatch, depending on destination.
You select your shoe size at the time you submit the ship request, not at the time of purchase or reveal. Double-check the size before confirming — a ship request with a confirmed size moves to fulfillment quickly.
Title to and risk of loss for a pair transfer to you only upon completion of shipment (delivery to your address), as described in our Terms of Service. Until then, the pair remains our responsibility — which is why the lost-and-damaged process in Section 8 is ours to resolve, not yours to fight with a carrier.
4. Our commitment under the FTC Mail Order Rule
SneakBox complies with the FTC’s Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 435). We ship within the timeframe stated above or, where no timeframe applies, within 30 days of your ship request. If we cannot meet that deadline, we will notify you promptly with a revised shipping date and your options.
If a delay occurs, you may choose either of the following:
- Wait for the revised date and keep the shipment request in place; or
- Cancel that shipment request. Cancelling the ship request does not affect your ownership claim: the pair returns to your Vault, where you keep the claim and may re-request shipment later or sell the pair back for store credit at 85% of listed market value. Any shipping fee you paid for the cancelled request is refunded to your original payment method.
The Vault decision window is tolled (paused) for any pair with an active or delayed ship request, so a shipping delay on our side never counts against your 30-day window.
5. Shipping fees
- Flat rate: $9.95 per shipment, regardless of how many pairs it contains.
- Free shipping: ship 2 or more pairs together in a single shipment and the $9.95 fee is waived.
Because the fee applies per shipment, bundling is the economical choice: if you have several revealed pairs in your Vault, requesting them in one shipment ships them all free, while shipping them one at a time costs $9.95 each. The app shows your bundling options whenever you start a ship request.
Shipping fees are charged when you submit the ship request, through the same payment methods available in the app.
6. Shipping insurance
Shipments with a total declared value over $500 must be insured. Insurance adds $4.95 to the shipment and is added automatically at checkout for the ship request — you cannot decline it above the threshold. Insured shipments may require a delivery signature and must go to a street address. For shipments at or below $500 declared value, insurance is not offered separately; the lost-and-damaged process in Section 8 protects you either way.
7. Sales tax
Applicable state and local sales tax is calculated and collected at the time you request shipment, based on the destination address of the shipment. Tax is not charged when you purchase a box or when a pair is revealed — it applies when a physical pair ships to a physical address. The exact tax amount is shown before you confirm the ship request.
8. Lost, damaged, or missing shipments
If your shipment arrives damaged, arrives with items missing, or the carrier marks it delivered but it never arrived, report it to support@sneakbox.app or through in-app support within 14 days of the delivery date (or the carrier’s last tracking update, if the shipment never arrived). Include photos of the packaging and the pair for damage claims.
Once we confirm the issue, we will resolve it as follows:
- Replacement pair of the same model, colorway, and size, if available; or
- Store credit at 100% of the pair’s listed market value — the full listed value, not the 85% sell-back rate, because a lost or damaged shipment is our problem, not your choice.
We file and handle the carrier insurance claim ourselves. You never need to deal with the carrier, wait on a carrier investigation to be made whole, or accept a carrier’s claim decision as ours.
9. Address accuracy and changes
You are responsible for the accuracy of the shipping address you enter. Before dispatch, you can edit the address of a pending ship request in the app or by contacting support. After dispatch, the address cannot be changed.
If a shipment is returned to us because the address was incorrect or undeliverable, the pair returns to your Vault and we notify you. You may re-request shipment with a corrected address; a reshipment fee equal to the standard $9.95 rate applies (plus insurance, if required). The original shipping fee is not refunded for address errors on your side.
10. Refused and unclaimed shipments
If you refuse delivery, or a shipment goes unclaimed at a carrier facility and is returned to us, the pair is returned to your Vault and we notify you. Re-requesting shipment carries the reshipment fee described in Section 9. A pair returned to the Vault re-enters the Vault decision timeline: if it remains unclaimed, it will eventually auto-convert to store credit at 85% of listed market value after the notices and timeline described in our Terms of Service.
11. How the Vault interacts with shipping
Revealed pairs are held in your Vault for 30 days while you decide whether to ship or sell back. We send reminder notices on day 20 and day 27. Requesting shipment stops the clock for that pair. If the window lapses with no decision, the pair converts to store credit at 85% of listed market value, as described in the Terms of Service. Bundling several Vault pairs into one shipment is the best way to claim everything at once — and it makes the shipping free at 2+ pairs.
